I hadn’t read any previews of Arsenal v Chelsea.
Or watched the build-up to the 12.45 kick-off.
My friend read out the teamsheet.
RDM had made eight changes!
So I had a bet on Under 2.5 goals.
That seemed obvious.
It looked like a one-goal game
But I also backed Arsenal to score the first goal.
That was stupid.
I forgot that Arsenal\’s season had ended in February when they lost 4-0 in Milan.
After 15 minutes it was clear that sideways passing would never open up Chelsea\’s defence.
The “game” was so sleepy. Very lethargic.
Zzzzzz…..
After the longest 24 minutes of the season, I decided that Arsenal were clueless. Clueless was the only word for them. It was so boring……yawn
ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz….zzzzz..zzzzz.
After 26, Kalou and Szczesny went for a 50-50 ball outside the box and both missed the ball.
Each player made sure he missed his opponent and by doing that he missed the ball as well.
Passionate London derby? The striker and the keeper both missed the ball because both wanted to miss the ball.
Koscielny, chasing back, kicked it out for a corner.
I thought : I’m so glad I’m not there watching this.
Boy, I’m so glad I’m not there.
The match was so pointless and unwatchable that, after 33 minutes, I switched it off. I can’t remember ever doing that. But if the players didn\’t care, why should I?
I didn’t see the Koscielny header against the bar till Sunday morning.
Missing Arteta, of course.

No matches won without Arteta.
Nothing will change. Doesn’t matter if he signs Podolski or the best left back in Ghana, the culture of complacency will always be there.
It\’s tedious to be told, after the QPR flop, that Wenger was “seething”
It\’s hilarious to be told, after they lost at home to Wigan, that Wenger was “furious.”
I smile when I hear rubbish like that.
As I smile, I shake my head from side to side.
It’s his culture, his players who don\’t turn up. His job is to employ footballers who turn up and want play, want to compete.
Only Wenger\’s clueless Arsenal could play like that against QPR, Wigan and Chelsea reserves.
The whole thing is sad, beyond tragic.
