From Anne Ryan : My club
I am heartbroken.
From Rory Fairfax : I was wrong
You were right, Myles.
You can post everything I said and shame me for my delusional optimism…. let that be a lesson to anyone who thought things were going to get better.
PS. bar Park, Wenger won’t sign anyone and he also won’t be sacked.
From Alex Sheehan : Glazers should thank AFC for Asia tour
Well, after all these years of clamoring for a tour of Asia, we do it now.
Now, before the most mis-managed period in arsenal’s modern history.
We have drawn attention to ourselves after all this time at exactly the worst possible moment.
We tour Asia and then: We say we cannot be considered a big club if we let Fabregas and Nasri go.
We let them go.
We have no big name players to support shirt sales and to idolize.
Perhaps Walcott for the kids and RVP, whose name I see rarely (I live in the Philippines).
We have some of the worst pr of any corporation I’ve ever seen.
All the obvious excitement and hope about Juan Mata and then Arsene says we’re not going for him and he doesn’t need to explain why. He goes to Chelsea. For 23m.
We sign kids who are younger and younger and more and more inexperienced.
We get more red cards than points, more red cards then goals.
We give the media the opportunity to rip us the new a**hole they’re all too willing to do and SHOULD be willing to do.
And now we lose 8-2 to MUFC’s team of experienced youngsters.
We open up a chasm of 18 goals in goal difference between us and United.
In three games.
Images of a castrated, impotent manager not shouting to his players, not making tactical changes, just sitting, doing nothing, are broadcast globally.
So HELLO ASIA, THIS IS ARSENAL!
So to the brothers Glazer, you can thank Arsenal FC for doing many summers worth of work on behalf of your club and giving millions of fans in Asia another reason to support Manchester United Football Club.
