Malouda possible/Arsenal and Man City get tough groups

Arsenal have made an enquiry for Florent Malouda, who has been replaced at Chelsea by Juan Mata from Valencia.

It’s a weird one, since Malouda is 31.

He’s on £120,000 a week and has two years left on his contract.

Can’t see  Malouda joining Arsenal or being happy at Colney or even fitting into the way they do things.

Wenger prefers  young French players and is looking at several  right now.

Will he sign anybody? Will  Wenger sign any players you know and respect in the next six days? Fans are agitated now, with time running out.

Personally, I wish the window was over. The two sagas are over now and I wish the window was over. It’s tedious beyond belief.

My opinion?

Post-Fabregas, we’re looking at Youth Project 2.

That’s what RVP obviously fears.

When Robin heard his manager virtually admit that Arsenal are a selling club, a feeder for richer teams, he must have feared    Youth Project 2 and a future surrounded by boys who win no trophies.

We’ll see. Football is full of surprises. Or should be.
