From John Ross : Anger
Myles,
I too am angry.
In fact, I am bloody livid!!
How did we end up in a world where a journeyman player can demand in excess of £80,000 per week?
And decent players with no medals feel they are entitled to £150,000?
Football has always been about money for the players, but with Arabic and Russian mafia intervention we are off the scales.
Twist or stick is the Arsenal dilemma, I commend my club’s reluctance to jump into the sewer.
Let’s face it, there is always another footballer, one leaves, another joins and tries to forge a place in our hearts.
Myles replies :
So you’re furious about the world Arsenal operate in?
But not with the board or manager?
You can’t change the world, John.
How did we get here?
Rupert Murdoch and Alan Sugar brought us here.
France’s first cable channel, Canal Plus, started in 1984 and was failing but then they got football and US films, so they survived and expanded.
And Alan Sugar helped Murdoch beat ITV to get the Premier League contract, so he could sell millions of dishes.
