I started to write some comments about the current plight of Arsenal; where we are, what could be done, how we’ve gambled nothing and won nothing, who’s responsible and who’s accountable and what the future might hold.
Then I thought….who gives a monkey’s?
Most fans are bored with the Arsenal at the moment and worse than that there is an alarming apathy surrounding the club that threatens to move us to the “Aston Villa” region of the Premiership (i.e. Just existing, mid-table, no real ambition).
As a season ticket holder, my interest has waned since the Carling Cup Final debacle and at the moment I can’t be be bothered.
All I would say is : just do something, please, please, please, otherwise there’s a real danger of turning the once great Arsenal FC into the Lighthouse Family of the football world; nice, respected and pleasant but really dull.
Let’s see what the summer brings.
