New Arsenal majority shareholder Stan Kroenke is prepared to provide Arsene Wenger with money to spend this summer – but the Gunners manager may be required to trim his squad in order to afford the wages of the top stars he wants.
That’s what I call a story!
Can it happen? Is Stan ambitious?
Is Stan saying : I’ll charge you 6.5% more for your tickets but I can make Wenger give you what you want!
We know that he is a very savvy businessman.
And we know that Wenger has become a serial loser.
So the real issue is :
Can Stan manage Wenger?
What if Wenger says : I’ll leave if you don’t let me do it my way.
What if the new owner says : Be my guest !
