I cannot believe people are actually complaining.
We need someone at the cutting edge of everything. Someone who will not accept 2nd gear. Someone who needs to convert players into better players to get his kicks. Someone who would cheer a clearance like a goal if the defence has done its job correctly.
We have that, and people are bemoaning the treatment of other candidates??? It is a recruitment drive and job interview FFS! People get let down all the time.
The only difference is the media got it so wrong for so long, that they need a story to spin them out of their own ineptitude. Arsenal have their man and their structure. They may not win the league next year, but within two seasons they will be the most improved team in it.

Being a gooner, you follow what other gooners say. Not being a gooner, I rarely do that.
Unai Emery has worked with a Sporting Director for most of his career. He accepts that model and doesn’t want to be a king or a dictator.
Emery will improve players.
You played football as teenager and that seems a long time ago because now you’re a parent. But some things that were true then are still true in football today.
Such as (1) You can only play as well as you’re allowed to play and (2) It’s not about what players you’ve got, it’s about what you get of the players you’ve got.
