Disappointed it wasn’t 3-0.

The Hernandez goal annoyed me.

I won\’t say much because if you\’re interested, you saw Liverpool do what they could to stop United’s 19th title.

Just a few basic points like

(1) That was most violent tackle I’ve ever seen by Jamie Carragher. He could have broken Nani’s leg. Phil Dowd should have sent him off.

They were are 2-0 up in the 44th minute, so why did Carra do that? To hurt Nani. No other reason. The tackle looked deliberate and malicious. It was a dirty tackle, a shocking X-certificate tackle that hit the winger above his shin pad.

Then a crazy incident : Nani jumped up to remonstrate with Carragher, then sat down, so Gerrard screamed at Nani and told him to get up and stop acting! Nani left the pitch on stretcher with his leg in a splint.

(2) That was the most flaccid United performance I\’ve ever seen by an Alex Ferguson team. You can’t play two old men in midfield at Anfield.

(3) Do United have enough good players to win the title? If they lose the first goal, are they creative enough to come back and win? Doesn’t look like it .

Memo to Arsenal re FA Cup : score first. Play your strongest team and score first.

(4) Rooney was pants. Again.

Gossip insiders now say Coleen and Wayne live almost separate lives. That’s  exactly what I have suspected and it’s the main reason for his abysmal  form.

He told Sir Alex he’d leave if his wages were not doubled. After that impertinence, I always reckoned he’d be sold this summer. But who would buy  such an unhappy  superstar?

(5) Luis Suarez has a very unusual style.

When he gets the ball he looks a bit hunched and indecisive. But Suarez can turn in the box and dribble towards the near post and keeps going till he’s in the goalkeepers face. Ball players create unusual situations. He has terrific awareness of his options and the movement of players around him.

Sunday afternoon, I wanted to watch Wolves v Spurs round at gambling Tony\’s but we kept missing each other and after various interruptions I watched Racing Santander v Real Madrid with him.

Cristiano wasn’t playing and Madrid played more fluently, with Ozil setting up the first two goals. We half-watched the game, making remarks on the play, as Tony told me about all the Manchester United finals he’d seen and how his accountant mate organises a busload of fans and gets to Manchester in three hours, never stopping.

When Real Madrid got a penalty, Adebarndoor, who had already scored, was about to take it and the director showed a BCU of the goalkeeper’s face.

“The keeper’s given up,” said Tony.

“No, he hasn’t, he’ll save it !”

I guessed right and so did the keeper, who saved a rubbish, rubbish  pen by Ade !

Racing had missed a pen at 2-0 but then pulled back to 2-1 before Di Maria played Benzema in for the best finish of the game.

I really like Benzema and reckon Madrid would be mad to sell him in the summer. But maybe Mourinho won’t be there, so that might not be his decision.

Tony reckons Casillas has lost his edge because there’s no competition for his place. I think winning  a World Cup does that to players.

In La Liga there’s a 20-point difference between Barcelona and Valencia, who are third.

In the EPL, seven points separate Man United and Man City in third.

United have 60, Arsenal 57, City 53, Chelsea and Spurs 48.

Blackpool v Chelsea is tonight and David Luiz will be majestic. But he will also  do something silly. The lad’s human, like the rest of us.

Remarkably, Carlo has said : This is not my team. He’ll be at Roma next season.

Spurs drew 3-3   at Wolves with Modric superb. Bale played the last 20 and looked as if he’d never been away.

Spurs will smash Milan on Wednesday. No problem.
