From James M Levitt :
Myles,
Hope you’re well.
Yesterday was a tipping point for me. I thought I was watching a testimonial match. Welcome to a world without Alexis.
I’m ashamed of the team. I’m sick of seeing Cech in goal. I’m sick of Bellerin laughing after missing a sitter from 5 yards just before half time. ..Karma is a bitch.
The stench of entitlement makes me nauseous. Complacency is rampant in our DNA. None of them, bar Per and maybe Ramsey care.
I was even hoping bloody Wilshere would come on to actually show some fight…that’s how bad it is.
The U12 girls town team I coach show more spirit in practice, let alone a game.
What’s the point anymore?
Myles says:
Stan Kroenke’s sports team don’t try to win trophies.
He does not dream of glory
Watford sub Troy Deeney said his job was to come on and be aggressive : “To rough them up. I’m physical, I’m rough, I’m ugly. I do stuff they don’t like.”
Martin Keown was as disgusted as you, James.
He said, “My blood was boiling. It makes me look at the DNA of the Arsenal players. The recruitment, the players that they’re bringing to the football club. That has got to change. There needs to be a steeliness, a determination. The way they capitulated when it went to 1-1was alarming. And they’ve not won an away game this season.”
Fans have always been proud and believed that Arsenal is a unique club.
And it certainly is unique now.
Because Arsenal is the only football club in the world where you can get 5,000 to 10,000 season ticket holders not turning up.
That is more significant than any comment we make on ANR.
Those empty seats condemn Wenger all through the season.
Let’s face it, nobody gives a toss about the Uefa Cup.
Whereas Matchday 3 in the Champions League is the most exciting day of the season.
With a bit of luck, I’ll tell you why tomorrow.
