29 readers say : Myles, get over it! TH14 is an Arsenal legend

Everyone thinks I should get  over it.

That I should write about France in the World Cup, normally, just as I’m writing about the other teams.

So I’m thinking about doing that.

But I feel very strongly about Henry’s cheating against Ireland. Thought it was despicable. In truth, I haven’t got over the Maradona handball in 1986 yet. If I’d been playing in that match, I’d have taken off my shirt and thrown it on the ground and walked off the pitch.

Today I’m thinking about whether South Korea will beat Greece. And about who will be in midfield for Argentina, where Zanetti and Cambiasso should be, against Nigeria. And about the England team bus arriving at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium at 6p.m for a 7.30 kick-off against the USA.

In nine games against USA, we have won seven.

There has never been a draw.

Fabio Capello says, “I exist to win.”

So I’m thinking about all that today. And also whether I should write about France in this World Cup. I think football fans can definitely manage without me writing about France. And, while I have plenty to say about the French players, I don’t have to type it out here if I don’t want to.

Of course, I realise that it’s a bit stubborn to say : This World Cup is 31 teams plus one with a  cheat I can’t stand.

If I think France will get out of Group A, I should write about them. I suppose.
