Hi Myles,
What a funny but confused place the world has always been. I can’t remember anytime the world has rightly predicted the winner of the World Cup in advance. When the unexpected nation emerges winner, the shameless world is the first and fastest to jump on the winner’s bandwagon.
I am afraid I can see you fitting in perfectly into the above scenario. A lot has been said of Argentina and Maradona. I wonder how many humble pies are waiting to be eaten come July 11? I see them winning it. Why? Because it’s simply theirs and when it’s yours, nothing takes it away Myles, believe me.
Finally, I just want to remind you that this year is 24 years since the Argies last won. the proverbial 24years Brazil and Italy had to endure from 1970 and 1982 to 1994 and 2006 respectively before winning after ages!
You may say this is all founded on superstition but please Myles, do me the favour of publishing this email before the time Argentina emerges champions.
I warned you well in advance.
Myles replies : Your wish is my command, my old son.
