Arsenal can beat Bolton 3-0 and go top

Arsenal can beat Bolton 3-0 and go top on Wednesday night.

On Saturday it was obvious Arsenal would beat Bolton twice.

Bolton are 19th and there’s a reason they’re 19th.They’re not very good and don’t score many goals and they’re in transition with a new manager who wants to change the way they play but has not had time to do so.

First half, Arsenal were better side and led 1-0 at half-time with a Fabregas goal.

Second half, Bolton were the better side, missed chances, and Merida made it 2-0 in 78. Game over.

Teams fighting for Premier league survival are often edgy, nervous, lacking confidence. That was Bolton all day long and Wednesday won’t be much different, except that they will play 4-5-1.

Will Arsenal be champions? Far too soon to say.

Will they win the FA Cup? Well, look at the fixtures.

The FA Cup Round 5 is just before they fly out to Porto, a very important game to Wenger and his team of foreigners, who want to win the Champions League more than the English league.

I think Wenger will want to use that weekend to prepare for Porto, who are technical and organised and might give Arsenal big problems in both legs.

I reckon Wenger will chuck the Stoke FA Cup tie on Sunday.

He’ll pick a weaker team and lose it. He has policies and agendas, so he does what he did last year.

If you’re one of the 9,000 Gooners who travelled up to Old Trafford for the FA Cup on February 16, 2008, you’ll know what I mean.  Hoyte and Traore were the full backs, Arsenal were stuffed 4-0.

Next game, Sagna and Clichy, drew 0-0 at home to Milan, then beat Milan 2-0 at the San Siro, drew 1-1 with Liverpool, threw it away at Anfield, where they eventually lost 4-2.

Arsenal can beat Bolton 3-0 and I’m fairly sure they’ll scrape a win at Aston Villa too.

Villa are so dull and Ashley Young has become an arm-waving idiot with an attitude problem.

Let’s see what Arsenal can do against Manchester United on Sunday 31st and Chelsea on February 7.
