What if Wenger doesn’t buy a striker?

 Where are we?

Big freeze, coldest spell since 1981, where are we with this title race?

Well, the biggest clubs have stuttered.

Arsenal are now the form team. They’ve beaten nobody but they’re only four points off the lead !

Four points off the lead, with a game in hand !!

Who expected that? What pundit predicted that after 20 games?

So where are we?

Right here : If Wenger doesn’t buy a striker, Arsenal’s season will be over in February.

He says : if Bendtner fails a fitness test on Friday, I’ll have to buy a striker. As always, he’s looking for a  bargain. So he might not buy a striker. He might buy half a striker.

Great that Aaron Ramsey’s doing so well. If the 19-year old makes it, he will have been a steal at £5 million.

Ramsey could be the fourth. He’s so talented that he could be the fourth.

The greatest developmental manager in history has developed Anelka, Vieira and Fabregas, three great players.

Aaron Ramsey could be the fourth. We’re all watching Ramsey closely and hoping he can sustain what he’s doing now and have a major career.

Like any good midfield player, Ramsey needs a defence behind him and an attack in front of him.

Some quite interesting games this weekend, if they survive the weather.

Will Arsenal beat Everton 6-1 again, without Van Persie and Fabregas?

Manchester United go to Birmingham when Alex McLeish’s team are enjoying the club’s best league run since 1908.

Can Hull draw with Chelsea tomorrow lunchtime?

Liverpool v Spurs at 4pm on Sunday?

Aquilani looks more like a Spurs player than a Liverpool player, so I hope he plays, as I’d like to see what he can do in that game. But if Aquilani plays, he won’t play in the Gerrard role, which is his natural position. Aquilani’s not strategic like Xabi Alonso.

Still, don’t worry about Spurs. They’re obsessed with Arsenal, neurotic about Arsenal. They always finish below Arsenal and that won’t change. I reckon Spurs will finish seven points behind Arsenal.
