Arsenal can draw Celtic, Fiorentina or Atletico Madrid

Arsenal might play Celtic in the CLQ.

Amazingly, Celtic won away from home at last. They never did that under Gordon Strachan or Martin O’Neill.

After losing 1-0 to Dinamo Moscow at Parkhead, Celtic, the team that’s never won a Champions League away game, played their second leg in the Russian capital. Clubs there are 18 games into their summer league season while Celtic are in pre-season and were already a goal down. Their prospects looked bleak.

I switched on BBC Scotland, expecting Dinamo to be 3-0 up in aggregate but there was no score so far in the second leg. Went up to my office for five minutes, replied to some emails, took a phone call, talked for half an hour,  then went back down and found it was 43 minutes and still 0-0, sat down in an armchair to watch it and immediately…SCOTT McDONALD SCORED !!!

Later in the second half, GEORGIOS SAMARAS, a striker I quite liked in his early days at Manchester City, came on as a sub and made it 2-0 at the death.Great joy for the 300 Celtic supporters in the stadium.Yes, three hundred fans.

Later I received this informative email from Gooner pal Stewart Joseph, who watched the 1971 double team while he was at Cambridge:
