Take £20 million, Arsene !
Unload the Offside Kid from Togo. Make a million Gooners happy !
Man City have agreed a five-year contract with Carlos Tevez, who has a medical today.
Tevez wants more money, doesn’t want to move house, and can still go out for a drink with Wayne.
Ade needs a fresh start. He’s not a masochist. He doesn’t want to be booed in every Emirates match next season.
Man City have offered £20 million. The papers say Arsenal want more. When buying a player, Wenger and Gazidis complain about “the inflated transfer market”.

Dear Myles,
I read your column regularly and also like Joe’s column in Arsenal Mania. I am a young Arsenal fan (for last 10 years and my age is 29) from India. We did not have electricity at home until 96 and hence late. I started watching EPL in 99 season and still fell in love with Arsenal (Man U won 3). My wife still says that she is second to me after Arsenal.
I read your columns but I still think you miss a point most times (sometimes you remember) that every successful team needs GLADIATORS/ FIGHTERS/ BATTLERS who are ready to die. Before saying whom we need at what position, we should concentrate on getting fighters. Look at Drogba/Rooney and Gerrard. I always liked Adams/Vieira and Grimandi more than the likes of Henry/ Cesc and all.
Ljungberg was a mix of both types of players (A RARITY and the mother of all players). You do not get anyone like that. My 2 favourites from your columns. (1) about the Bermuda Triangle regarding Ljungberg – If you can send it to me I will treasure it by taking a print-out and framing the same and (2) If Henry had Ljungberg’s bottle, he would be Pele.
Regards,
Subhrajit
Myles replies : The Bermuda Triangle piece seemed to touch a nerve and generated many replies. If I can locate it, I’ll send it on. Don’t know if it deserves to be framed.
Still, framing is nice for a writer. Ian Dury once told me his Mum had cut a page out of my New Wave Explosion book and framed it above her mantelpiece. This was an illustrated paperback about the whole Pistols-Police-Blondie-The Beat-UB40-Dury era of Britpop. Most mothers are proud of their sons.
Watch Fabregas more closely. He’s a fighter too.
