Liverpool 4 Arshavin 4 / Nasri finds his best role

Liverpool 4 Arshavin 4

Two big things came out of this 4-4 draw.

1. Nasri has found his position.

Samir Nasri is a half back. He is not a winger or an inside forward. He’s chunky, spiky, versatile and quick. He is a No.6. And in the sprint tests he is as quick as Walcott.

2. Fiszman and Gazidis bought Arshavin, who has shown us just how mediocre Diaby, Song and Denilson are.

Wenger was happy to have him but they made it happen. However, Arshavin is 28 next month and he didn’t get the contract he wanted. He is underpaid for his ability.Next season he will be sensational, playing for a new contract. If he doesn’t get it, he will go.

Fiszman and Gazidis got it right. Wenger has been getting it wrong for four years. His team has won nothing and will win nothing. It’s a myth. He cons the media and they go along with him.

The Arsenal team is going backwards. This is Wenger’s worst season, despite 19 games unbeaten in the league.

At Anfield, Liverpool bossed the whole game. But they gave up four chances to Arshavin and he scored four goals. After Arshavin, Arsenal’s best player was Fabianski, who made good saves.

Benayoun should have scored two goals in the first half hour. Two brainy players made brainy movements, Fabregas and Arshavin, the former making a run outside Nasri to set up the latter to make it 1-0 in 36 minutes, totally against the run of play.

Arsenal’s defence is rubbish ! It’s laughable.

Their defence gets worse and worse and worse.
Wenger can’t teach defence and, as Sir Alex says, he won’t spend money on defenders.

By not winning, Liverpool have taken the pressure off Manchester United, who can now rest players before the two Champions League games against Arsenal.

Arshavin is different class, as I wrote here in June.

Give Nasri the No.6 shirt and keep him where he played tonight.
