Time for Myles to try and remember what’s happening with the Arsenal team.
I’ve been busy writing a rock & roll memoir, so I haven’t thought about the team for two weeks.
As I recall, Arsenal are on an unbeaten run, Man City are pathetic away from home, Manchester United are having a wobble, and Aston Villa have imploded through having a squad that’s too small. And because Agbonlahor hasn’t scored since Heskey joined to fill up the space that Gabby used to sprint into, giving him fewer chances to use his pace.
That’s where I was two weeks ago.
Something huge happened at Arsenal last week and the media did not understand it, so I’ll have to explain that on Monday morning.
Maybe on Sunday I can put up my thoughts on England 2 Ukraine 1. That was a bit like our 2-1 win in Germany in November : we scored from two set-pieces.
With Fabregas, Walcott and Adebayor back in his squad, Wenger has more options v Man City.
If Arsenal win , and Aston Villa lose, Arsenal will be six points above them with seven games to play.
If you’re going to the game, you’ll see Arshavin, the team’s best player, so you’re in for a treat. Arshavin and Fabregas can make goals for each other.
Now, in the last sentence of this little piece, I’ve woken up and remembered what this game is about: Fabregas and Arshavin playing together for the first time!
Arshavin will have Fabregas to help him ! Cesc can see him and give him the ball where he wants it. What odds on Arshavin scoring the first goal ?
