Wenger 0 Fulham 0 : Fans should be patient, says Le Prof

 Arsenal 0 Fulham 0 ?

Four nil-nil draws in a row?

Do I ever get sick of being right?

Yes, I do. I’m sick of it today and I’ll  be sick of it tomorrow as well.

My phone was quiet at 5.00 pm. No angry Gooners had called.

By 6.00pm none had called. Arsenal fans had gone beyond disappointment…..into silence ……

Arshavin was brilliant in his debut.

After 10 minutes I could see he was on another level. After 20 minutes I could see Arshavin should be playing in Van Persie’s position. Has Wenger mentioned Arshavin this week? Has Wenger mentioned Arshavin once this week? Has he mentioned the new Russian star that he signed for £15 million?

Has he? Tell me, has he mentioned Arshavin? He spends £15 million on a world class player but never gives him a mention? Did he say anything about him? What did he say?

Last week the question I asked after the Sunderland 0-0 was : how quickly can Arsenal improve to get the most out of Arshavin’s creativity?

How stupid and naive was that? Arsenal are NOT going to improve to reach his level. These tossers are going to drag the little Russian maestro down to their level. And we have already seen that. Arshavin was dire today, apart from three magical passes that would have been three assists if Ian Wright had been playing. He has begun to sink to their level already. Last Saturday he made them look mediocre. This Saturday they made him look mediocre.

At 6.15 the phone calls started : “Have you ever had a nightmare that just went on and on and on? I just don’t know where we go from here. We sat there in total despair.”

I said, “It’s the board’s fault. The board are cowards. I said four years ago they had no Plan B. They only have plan AW.”

The next phone call said, “We were abject. Fulham were the better side from start to finish. I think Fulham dropped two points. The booing would have been worse if people could be bothered.”

It’s a very strange time for armchair Gooners, when Arsenal don’t come on Match of the Day till 11.20 pm on Saturday night. We switched over after The Bourne Supremacy at 11.18 pm and……bingo!!! The Arsenal highlights were just starting with commentary by John Motson.

I saw all this coming  four months ago .
