Bayern Munich is a serious club. Don’t compare them to Arsenal, please!

From Idriss Lamare : hope and accountability

Hello Myles,

Hope is what inspires and I suppose destroys the human mind.

Hoping tomorrow will be different, better than yesterday because you have learned from your mistakes.

Yet again while we still contemplate a failed season, teams like Bayern have already begun strengthening their squad.

This is beyond reckless!

How does a multi-million dollar corporation like Arsenal operate without accountability?

Football clubs are suppose to be for the supporters first and foremost, yet it’s abundantly clear Arsenal don’t even care.

Funny enough is I have stopped giving a shit because hoping might destroy my mind.

Myles says:

Please lighten up, Idriss

It’s only football.

It’s just an entertainment. We can’t lives our lives through the results of a football team. There is a lot more to life than that.

One club has a fanzine titled It’s The Hope That Kills You.

Which is one of the best titles since the original fanzine, When Saturday Comes.

Fans have a sense of humour.

Most bloggers have never been football reporters and never met or interviewed hundreds of managers and players. I have and I’m here to tell you a secret: fans are far more interesting that footballers.

They’re generally more versatile, better educated and more entertaining.

Many thousands of messages have been sent to ANR from countries all over the world since I started blogging here in 1998 and these emails invariably confirmed what I knew already.

I’d sum it up this way: watch footballers, listen to fans.

And judge Kroenke and Wenger by what they do, not what they say.
