I wonder how AW justifies/explains that.
If 2014 was a flash in the pan for Atletico Madrid and Diego Simeone, the last two seasons have emphatically disproved that.
For all the cr@p the club has been through, including a relegation in the early 2000s, I am so happy for the fans.

It’s called the summer of 2017, when Wenger leaves.
Stan Kroenke can’t imagine a future without Wenger running the whole sad circus and making money by winning almost nothing and telling us that fourth is a trophy and how he turned down offers from Real Madrid.
Wenger would not have lasted 6 months at Real Madrid and he’s always known that.
At Bayern Munich, with Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinze Rummennige telling him what he was doing wrong, he wouldn’t have lasted three.
We all detest Kroenke now – and nobody enjoys being hated.
Stan’s smart enough to take a very good offer and walk.
And if he wasn’t so cold, he’d flog his 67% now and let somebody else manage the transition and revive the biggest football club in Europe’s richest city.
