Arsenal’s Manchester body language at 3-2 said it all

From Alan S : naivety comment gave players excuse to sulk!

Myles,
I think the most damning evidence from the game against Man U on Sunday was the players’ reactions after Ozil scored to make it 3-2 with 20 mins left to play.……… NOTHING, no cheering, no grabbing the ball from the net, no desire, no final onslaught against a makeshift back four ….. NOTHING.

To me this all comes from the manager, if that were a Ferguson/Mourinho/Klopp team there would have been emotion! A game we weren’t even in, we had a chance of getting something from it…. But nothing came.

Imagine if the boot were on the other foot and Arsenal had dominated against a rival for most of the game and gave away a cheap goal with 20 mins left…… we’d bottle it and give away a stupid goal from a set play

My guess is that my Wenger calling the players naive after the game against Barca, a few of them got the hump, had a little sulk and just couldn’t be bothered.

I usually look forward to games at the Lane, but like you Myles, I fear this will be the game that drives Spurs towards the title!

Keep up the informative writing!!

Myles says:

Bullseye comment, Alan.

That moment defined how gutless they are.

Body language tells us a lot.

Body language tells us far more than Sky Sports News, more than the BBC or The Times or The Guardian, more than ANR or any other blog.

Talked to my bubbly daughter this morning.

Caroline said,”I’ve let some Spurs fans into my life… because it didn’t matter. But now look what’s happening!”
