Arsenal top the Premier League table for shots from inside the penalty area per game.
They pass and pass and pass till they get to the box and then set up somebody for a shot.
When it works, it’s very efficient.
When it doesn’t, Arsenal have a lot of men near the lost ball.
However, their 19 goals in open play is only fourth-best (behind Man City, Leicester and Everton).
Citeh have more predators but Aguero will not be at his sharpest tonight.
Overall, I still think Manchester City will win the title, despite their sloppy defending.
Tonight will be a close game and a low-scoring one.
And I don’t think Arsenal will lose it.
City’s most telling advantage is that they have David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne , two of the classiest playmakers in the game.
While Ozil the assistmeister can do a few things KDB and Silva can’t do, having two goalmakers of that calibre is a huge advantage. And that may be why they won their Champions League group for the first time ever.
As I keep saying, Raheem Sterling is so agile and gutsy, so fast in the box, that he might be decisive.
Overall, though, Arsenal’s passing rhythm looks superior and that should give them the edge at 8pm tonight.
